CPPP – An international C++ Conference with a hint of French accent

Published November 10, 2021 - 0 Comments

Here is a quick update on a conference that I like. It has a very attractive program, a very reasonable ticket price, and is held in Paris. A nice reason to come around and visit the city and improve your C++ skills at the same time!

The CPPP conference will hold its second edition fully online from December 1st to December 3rd 2021. Its program is along three tracks, to cover three approaches to the language:

Progress: Dedicated to learning and reinforcing basic C++ knowledge and understanding. These talks are accessible to beginners and experts alike.

Produce: Everyday, C++ programmers are working with code bases that were started years or decades ago and represent millions of lines of code. This track is dedicated to sharing solutions to produce and maintain reliable software using C++.

Push Forward: Novel ideas and approaches for C++. It’s the track where we share new patterns and functionality that C++ has or might acquire in the future

The Program this Year

The program contains many interesting regular talks, plus 3 keynotes with:

  • Matt Godbolt presenting C++’s superpower
  • Barry Revzin presenting Iterators and Ranges: Comparing C++ to D, Rust, and Others
  • Sy Brand talking On the Aesthetics of Code

The full program can be discovered here.
