Fwiw while I normally dislike videos for this kind of thing, I enjoyed this one. It was short and to the point (i.e. less than 10 minutes) and the drum and bass was a nice touch

I'm really glad you shared this feedback with me. I hadn't considered some of them. In a couple of weeks I will decide what to do about the rhythm of publication for the videos, perhaps they will leave more (all) space to the articles.

I dislike videos for several reasons:
- Usually, I don't like the video's pace (often too slow). Even if yours is fine for me, others may disagree.
- Finding a particular piece of information within a video is harder with plain text and let's not talk about copy and pasting a snippet of code.

- It takes more bandwidth, and it requires a good one for HD quality. HD is not entirely necessary (code is readable at 360p) but it improves reading comfort.

- It also makes you completely dependent of your video hosting platform. If Youtube were to close your channel, then this blog post would be completely pointless. And remember, someone who uploaded white noise got strikes on his video !
- Move over, you screw deaf developer since there is no script or subtitle. Sure, there is Youtube's automatic subtitles but it is not perfect. Both blind and deaf developers can process text).

- I can't listen to my music while I watch the video.

For all these reasons, I don't like videos !

On boost::phoenix itself, I have mixed feelings. This kind of syntax should become the C++ default syntax for algorithms... But I would rather use a lambda than bring boost::phoenix based on what you have shown.

Hey David. I may well have been wrong but I've chosen the video format for this one because it showed live coding, and also to diversify the contents on Fluent C++.
But your feedback that you would have prefered a text here is heard.
If I may, could I please ask if you prefer text over videos <em>in general</em>, or if you enjoy watching videos but didn't find this particular piece of content had the appropriate format?

It is not an extensive guide into boost phoenix, rather something that shall stimulate you into digging deeper, so a short video in my opinion plays well with the task.
